It is with profound sadness that we democrats of Cascade County join the world in marking the loss of a great American. He was a cultural icon to the Blackfeet Nation and his influence was felt and recognized by Native Peoples everywhere. His life was dedicated to improving the lives of others and preserving cultural heritage of his people. He cannot be replaced and his wisdom will be sorely missed.
