We are all aware that the Covid-19 situation in Cascade County and Montana generally is not good. In this county, hospitals are at their limits, vaccination rate is less than 50%, and positivity rate is over 13% and rising. It is unfortunate that state policy makers have hindered local efforts around the state in dealing with the virus.

In the current situation, the health and safety of all concerned make it necessary to cancel the Mansfield Fall Dinner for the second straight year. We will reschedule as soon as we can safely do so. As citizens we are disappointed with the ineffective policies that have put our population at risk and prolonged this pandemic.

We are working to change that.
