Cascade County Democratic Central Committee: Get To Know Us

The Cascade County Democratic Central Committee’s mission is to support and promote Democratic Candidates, Office Holders, Ballot Initiatives and the Montana Democratic Platform. The Central Committee is made up of candidates, elected officials, and precinct people.

Members of the Central Committee are elected during the June primary every federal election year or appointed in the interim at the monthly Central Committee meetings that take place the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.

The Central Committee is the body of Cascade County Democrats, with official duties that include voting on leadership at the Officers’ Convention that occurs during May every odd year and selecting the slate of candidates from which the County Commissioners choose a replacement if a sitting Democratic legislator can no longer serve. Unofficially, members of the Central Committee (also sometimes called Precinct Committeemen and Committeewomen) are the primary volunteers and the motive force behind Cascade County Democrats. Contact us if you are interested in serving in a precinct where the position is vacant.
